Big-Al : suggestion : try to smaller white line and the eyes, anyway its very same with real ninja

Well, it does look like a ninja and all that. But a suggestion of mine is you add a bit more texture on its "ninja suit"(body) , so it looks more lifelike

Big-Al : I agree too with procomsoghnathus, you can use slate or paper texture in gimp

Yeah, what aristo said. You can add slate or paper texture without ruining the "ninjaness" of the skin.

thanks for the tips. I only called it ninja 'cos it was black, but I'll try adding texture next time I try something

Oh and one more tips : Try to set your paintbrush mode to softlight with 100% opacity after you make texture
