W.I.P: Full day cycle

Well Im trying to create a mod that creates a day and night cycle using the weather and constant files. Its still a work in progress but ive managed to create night:

Im working on the timing so instead of years, months will be shortened and represent days. There may be some time dodgyness but yeah also dinosaurs will be more active at night or day, I havent decided yet.
suggestions are welcome and note the actual night sky is not finished either.

Seriously this is sounding/ looking pretty awesome so far! I think they should have added the cycle in the original game. And I have a suggestion.
-Certain dinosaurs automatically sleep during night time.
(It makes sense )

I would but theres no wait to connect certain dinosaurs to a particular "weather"

Pretty interesting to turn months into "days" and years into "months" but it would require new "month" to have about 30 days (doubt it would be changed to vary...) and starting "month" should be changed to month Zero.

Well I havent tried it yet but there may be a way to create more months (which I can then convert into days) by lengthing the time of the year to more then that of 12 months. Dunno if it will work but its worth a try

I kinda doubt they would set a number of months in a year as editable field, but... well I hope you will succeed at least in part of this idea.

I think that most dinosaurs should be active during daytime, except of raptors and maybe other small carns such as dilos

prety cool idea,and about the dinosaurs being more active at a specific time,I would say at night,because it's harder to spot a predator with less light,and they know it,so are more active.but prey animals also know that,and are on high alert,as dinosaurs aren't like a human wihch,if lives in the wild,would climb a tree and sleep at night without paying atention to the predators which hunt on the ground.anyway good luck ont the mod

There should be a way to get rid of the rain for night time mod.

I think you could just make new weather but don't make the months days,days ingame is to quick just keep it just the way it is

By "to quick" you mean that the days pass during the months quickly and it will flash your eyes with changing weather? It's not supposed to work that way. It will be more like one(or most probably two) month will count as one day. day/night day/night. by "months will be shortened" I highly doubt S77 wants to create quick flashing between the day and night. >.>

Of course you can always not download the mod if you want to keep things the way they are...

I know how to remove the rain from night. You just need to change ex. day time sky into night time and change some sounds and lights I do it in my series to have day/night time.

If it is a experienced guy who's making it... I believe you'll make it !
